Yesterday the weather was really great and sunny, and we finally went somewhere together. We love the Yerevan Zoo. Every year we try to get out to it. There was a huge crowd yesterday, but we accomplished the minimum program.

We fed a vulture an apple (we were very surprised) and ravens some carrot (they're unbelievably beautiful and huge). We watched a hippo open its mouth wide and saw an elephant carefully gathering carrots and apples off the floor.

We dropped into the exoterrarium and met a wonderful keeper. In the exoterrarium there are lots of beautiful snakes, caimans, various little lizards and iguanas. And bats too.
There's a pleasant summer café with corn and ice cream and even some kind of street food.
The grounds are large and cozy. A walk like this is sure to please both children and adults.
We definitely recommend it.
